Rudi Beckers

Rudi Beckers, MD, Senior Staff Member of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (UZ Brussel) and member of the Research Group on Emergency and Disaster Medicine at the Medical School of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (ReGEDiM Brussels). Graduated in Medicine at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) in 1984, followed a residency in Internal Medicine from 1986 till 1991 and in Emergency and Disaster Medicine from 1998 till 2000. Senior Medical Officer in the Belgian Army (Military Hospital Queen Astrid  Brussels) from 1995 till 2010. As a lector he is involved in the teaching for medical students at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and  EMTs at PIVO (Provinciaal Instituut voor Vorming en Opleiding) at the Region of Vlaams Brabant since 2000.
