Prof. Dr. Ives Hubloue is the program director of the residency training for Emergency Medicine at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).
Members of the ReGEDiM participate in an interuniversity postgraduate training for residents in Emergency Medicine.
This course is an advanced Master of Science in Disaster Medicine that gives a clear picture of the state of the art of the disaster medical management and sciences to train health workers to a high professional level.
This is a one week program in the 3th year of nursing from the Erasmus Hogeschool (Belgium) about the basic principles in disaster management and medicine.
Some members of the ReGEDiM are responsible for the training of volunteers and professionals to become adequate EMS personnel.
The master is a two-year advanced master program. The master is a close collaboration between Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven, Hasselt University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Antwerp University. In line with the interdisciplinary character of this course, the lecturers and teachers involved in this Master form a unique interdisciplinary mix to deal with the current Global Health issues and challenges.
